RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Food Branch conducted raids at different food outlets and slapped Rs0.2 million fines in total for serving unhygienic and sub-standard meals to customers.
According to Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Spokesperson Qaiser Mahmood, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Food Branch conducted raids at Chaman Ice-cream Saddar and Pizza Hut Branch and issued Rs 50,000 and Rs 40,000 fine respectively after their food items sample failed to fulfill the requirements.
The raiding team conducted raids at Piyo Foods, Fresco Sweets Saddar, Karim Hotel and slammed Rs30, 000, Rs15,000 and Rs10,000 fines for serving unhygienic food items respectively.
The Food Branch also slapped a fine of Rs 60,000 in total on Super Filter Plant, Tayab Super Filter Plant, Irshad Super Filter plant and Butt Water Filter Plant.
