LAHORE: Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin has said that the provincial government is striving hard to facilitate the people of Punjab.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony of mobile application and smart sauhalat card, he said that Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has launched the smart sauhalat card and e-licensing mobile application to facilitate the consumers, to eradicate the queue culture and to save food operators’ time. Steps were being taken to utilise the modern technology in this regard.
“The complicated method of getting the license of PFA has ended and now all food operators would be able the get the license without any inconvenience in a respectful manner”, he added.
Talking about the license acquiring procedure, he said that the consumer’s application would be submitted to concerned food safety officer online, who, after verification of all information, would send the application to a bank. After this, the consumer would be informed to deposit fee. The fee of the license would be submitted in any branch of Allied Bank.
PFA Director General Noorul Amin Mengal thanked the Punjab chief minister for his cooperation.
