LAHORE: The Airport Security Force (ASF) at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore claimed to have foiled a major heroin smuggling bid worth Rs25 million.
During a routine checking of a person, the ASF personnel recovered a huge cache of heroin from him.
The passenger identified as Naeem, hailing from Sargodha, was attempting to smuggle the heroin to Saudi Arabia.
He was scheduled to fly to Jeddah via Doha, Qatar.
The suspect had hidden two capsules in orange peels. He was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force who moved him to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
