KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has no interest in Sindh – this was a statement by seasoned politician and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh Irfanullah Marwat after he chose to join the PPP on Friday.
Marwat held a meeting with the President of PPP Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House. After the meeting, Irfanullah Marwat told the media that the Prime Minister has no interest in Sindh and this is why he has decided to join PPP. “Political relations with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were over long ago but he opted to remain silent,” he informed. “Now onward after joining the PPP, I will begin the struggle for the rights of Karachiites from this political platform,” he added, “I have discussed in detail every political scenario with Mr. Zardari in an hour-long meeting.” Meanwhile, Provincial Minister Imdad Ali Pitafi, Fayyaz Ali Butt, and Manzoor Hussain Wassan have welcomed Sardar Nabil Gabol, Sardar Nadir Akmal Leghari, and Irfanullah Marwat in joining the ranks of PPP. Due to the popular and successful policies of PPP attracts leaders from Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, PML-N and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) to join the PPP, they said. They asserted, PPP will contest the next general elections with full force across the country.
